MyYoga retreat in Bali

February 1 – 8, 2024

Meet Lydia and Marcel.

Lydia teaches the Bikram Yoga classes and early morning Tibetan Rites. Marcel teaches the Vinyasa and Yin classes. Participate in as much or as little yoga as you like.

Daily Yoga Possibilities

We will begin every morning with the Tibetan Rites practice; a warming up series passed down from the Tibetan monks sometimes referred to as “The Fountain of Youth”. It is great to learn this simple series because it is something you can use anytime as they do not take very long or require any special equipment and/or outfit and/or space. These simple movement exercises will help you feel revived and energised and ready for your day of enjoying Bali.

After breakfast and little digestion time we will have our daily hot bikram class. Whether you are a seasoned practitioner of this style of yoga or just want to try it out for the first time Lydia is sure to teach a class that helps everyone find the benefits of this healing sequence and she always manages to do it with an element of fun and humour.

Each afternoon or early evening Marcel will lead us through a vinyasa and/or yin class.

Vinyasa is a style of yoga where dynamic movement, cardiovascular activity and coordination play a major role. It’s a wonderful physical practice that develops strength and stamina.

Yin yoga is a great way to calm down, mentally and physically, becoming quiet. Where other yoga styles work mostly on muscular strength and activation, Yin yoga works on the fascia and connective tissues, those tissues that have the tendency to become stiff and tight.

Marcel has a beautiful functional approach to teaching in educating students to discover what each pose is doing for you instead of getting stuck on the aesthetics of how it looks.
